Fred Weiss is the founder and publisher of A Little Green Book and is the Series' first author. Mr. Weiss is also kmown as "Little Miss Sunshine" editor and lead author of green energy site www.SunPoweredDreams.com Mr. Weiss is also the founder and CEO of www.4Offsets.com, a carbon offset seller. Mr Weiss was born in Detroit Michigan in 1962 and survived the 60's, mainly because he was too young to actually be involved. As a middle school student, Mr. Weiss bought a solar photovoltiac cell for a science fair project and has been an advocate of solar electric and thermal power generation ever since. Mr. Weiss moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1980 where he attended the University of Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pyschology in 1985 and Eastern Michigan University where, in 1987, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

From 1990 thru spring 1998, Mr. Weiss worked as C/C++, Windows Programmer at several Fortune 500 companies in the Detroit - Ann Arbor metro area. After buying a historic home, Mr. Weiss rapidly reconnected with the conservation movement after receiving his first winter gas bill. As the environmental movement shifted from one of fighting toxins and waste to that of fighting global warming, Mr. Weiss rekindled his interest in Solar energy.

Mr. Weiss currently resides with his family in Ontrario, Canada just across the border from Detroit.
