| Composer, born in Kecskemét, C Hungary. He studied at the Budapest Conservatory, where he became professor. Among his best-known works are his Háry János suite (1926), and several choral compositions, especially his Psalmus Hungaricus (1923) and Te Deum (1936). He also published editions of folk songs with Bartók. |
