| Actor, singer, and artist, born in New York City, USA. He began work as an artist, and to supplement his income entertained in nightclubs. Radio and film work followed, and he established a successful theatre career, particularly in comedy roles, appearing in Rhinoceros (1961) and the musicals A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1962) and Fiddler on the Roof (1964). He played several of his theatrical roles in films. |
