| Chemist, born in Hsinchu, Taiwan. He went to the USA (1962), where he worked with Dudley Herschbach at the University of California, Berkeley, and designed the crossed-molecular-beam apparatus that hastened the understanding of chemical reactions. He shared the 1986 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his contributions concerning dynamics of elementary chemical processes. |
