In 1900 he decided to abandon his administrative profession and dedicate himself totally to art, and in 1903 went to Paris to work with Alexandre de Cabanyes and complete his art studies. He performed secondary tasks such as decoration of the famous building La Pedrera by Gaudí in order to earn a living. In 1917 he exhibited his watercolours with great success in Barcelona and Madrid, and from this time he was constantly in demand.
