| Anglo-Saxon clergyman and writer. He was Bishop of London (996–1002), Archbishop of York from 1002, and also Bishop of Worcester (1003–16). He was the author of homilies in the vernacular, including a celebrated address to the English, Sermo Lupi ad Anglos (1014, Sermon of Wolf to the English). |
