| German politician and lawyer, born in New York City. An extreme Nationalist, he founded in 1917 the right-wing Deutsche Vaterlandspartei with Tirpitz, and became Generallandschaftsdirektor in E Prussia. He led the abortive Kapp Putsch, after which he fled to Sweden, where he died in prison during trial by the Reichsgericht. |
