| Writer, born in Rudolstadt, Thüringen, C Germany. He studied German, philosophy, and sociology, and was awarded the Leonce-und-Lena-Preis for his early collected poetry Als Alfred Jarry merkte, daß seine Mutter eine Jungfrau war, bestieg er sein Fahrrad (1968). His prose is characterized by Surrealist elements and an interest in language; his later work has become more lyrical. Noted for his radio plays, he was awarded the Hörspielpreis der Kriegsblinden in 1969. |
