| Television satirist and writer, born in The Hague, W Netherlands. Together with his partner Kees van Kooten, de Bie made satirical television shows for VPRO broadcasting. As a novelist, he is less prolific than his television partner. He received great acclaim for his book Schoftentuig (1988, Riffraff) in which he displays his social commitment. |
