| biography:
| Count of Holland (from 1404), also Duke William II of Bavaria, and Count William IV of Hainault, the son of Albert of Bavaria, and the nephew of William V. He married Margaret, the daughter of Philip the Bold, and fought with Utrecht and Gelre. His death at Bouchain in a raid into France ended the line of the counts of Holland, as his only child was his daughter Jacqueline (Jacoba), the last Countess of Holland before it fell under Burgundian rule. |
