| Manufacturer and engineer, born in Delaware Co, Pennsylvania, USA. In 1848 he began to manufacture machinists' tools and mill gearing in Providence, formed William Sellers & Co (1886), and developed formulas for machining screw threads and nuts. He was also director of several railroads in the 1860s–1870s. |
