| Electrical engineer and educator, born in Toledo, Ohio, USA. He taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1909–18), and then held various personnel positions at Bell Telephone and American Telephone & Telegraph Co (1918–24) . In 1924–9 he studied methods of engineering education, and then was president of Case School of Applied Science until his retirement (1929–41). |
