| Emperor, born in Nuremberg, SC Germany, the son of Emperor Karl IV. He was crowned King of Bohemia (as Wenceslas IV) in 1363, as German king (1376), and emperor (1378) in succession to his father. His reign was marked by feuds with the Bohemian nobility, and he was finally deposed by Electors of the Rhine in 1410. |
