| Businessman, born in KwaZulu Natal, E South Africa. He studied at Natal University, Durban, and became a chartered accountant. Executive chairman of the Barlow Rand Group of Companies (now Barloworld), South Africa's largest industrial corporation, he is also chairman of the State President's Economic Advisory Council, and president of the South Africa Foundation. He was named ‘Marketing Man of the Year’ in 1988. |
