| Italian politician, born in Filottrano, Marche, E Italy. He was the leader of the Catholic lay organization Azione Cattolica and president of the Unione elettoral cattolica (Catholic Electoral Association). He made a secret electoral pact with Giolitti, the Gentiloni Pact (1913), by which Catholics would vote for the candidates from Giolitti's party whose programme complied with Catholic principles. |
