| Italian politician and historian, born in Civitacampomarano, Abruzzi-Molise, C Italy. A member of the Partenopea Republic in 1799, he was exiled by the Borbone, and went to Milan, were he was an official of the Cisalpine Republic. He returned to Naples in 1806 and held a number of posts, dealing especially with public education. His work Saggio storico sulla revoluzione napoletana del 1799 (1801, Historical Treatise on the Neapolitan Revolution of 1799) deals with the failure of the Neapolitan revolution. |
