| A group of philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians centred on Vienna University in the 1920s and 1930s. It was founded by Schlick, and had among its associates Gödel, Neurath, and Carnap. It became an international focus for logical positivism, and when the Circle itself dissolved with the rise of Nazism most of its members emigrated to the USA. |
