| Actress, born in Madrid, Spain. She began as a dancer at a very early age and was eventually given a part in the film Obsession (1974). She went on to combine acting with a job as a TV presenter. During the 1950s she became a ‘Chica Almodóvar’ (‘Almodóvar girl’, an actress directed by Almodóvar). Among her most popular films are El Lute camina o revienta (1987) directed by Vicente Aranda, Atame! (1989, trans Tie me up, tie me down) directed by Almodóvar, Amantes (1991, trans Lovers) directed by Vicente Aranda, and Tacones Lejanos (1991) and Kika (1993), both directed by Almodóvar. |
