| Writer and journalist, born in Rome, Latium, Italy. A distinguished journalist, he edited the daily Il Corriere della Sera (1925–7) and his articles are collected in I capricci del conte Ottavio (1908–9) and Cose viste (1923–39). He strongly promoted the conservation of Italy's artistic heritage in the reviews Dedalo, Pegaso, and Pan. He wrote collections of poems (Paesaggi, 1892) and novels (Mio figlio ferroviere, 1922). |
