| Alpine skier, born in Kitzbühel, W Austria. In 1956, he became the first man to win all three Olympic skiing titles (downhill, slalom, giant slalom). He was the world combined champion (1956, 1958) and the world downhill and giant slalom champion (1958). He later became an actor and singer, a hotel owner, and an investor in a textile business. |
