| Writer, born in Pico, Latium, W Italy. He wrote short stories and novels which delve into the paradoxes hidden in everyday life, searching for a new type of morality; he also described in bitingly ironic tones the human struggle between rationality and instincts. His work includes La pietra lunare (1939), Rien va (1963), Un amore del nostro tempo (1965), Racconti impossibili (1966), and Del meno (1978). He was also an expert on Russian literature. |
