| Biochemist, born in London, UK. He studied at the University of Cambridge (PhD, 1965), then at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, and at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge. In 1990 he joined the Cell Cycle Control Laboratory at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London. He shared the 2001 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his contributions to understanding the key regulators of the cell cycle. |
