| Cartoonist and broadcaster, born in Liverpool, Merseyside, NW England, UK. Educated in Liverpool, he worked for an advertising agency before becoming a freelance cartoonist in 1958. His creations include the cartoon strips The Cloggies and The Fosdyke Saga, which he adapted for radio. He has appeared on and presented I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (BBC radio), and published a number of books of his cartoons and other subjects, including The Incredible Bed (1990) and Save Daring Waring with a Pencil (1993). |
