He belonged to the crepuscolare (‘twilight’) poetry movement, writing poems in the local Veronese dialect which paint a tender picture of provincial life and express regret at the passing of time. His works include I pitochi (1896), Canzoniere veronese (1900), Nuovo canzoniere veronese (1911), I sogni (1922), and L'autunno del poeta (1937). |
