| Cabinet-maker, born in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, NE England, UK. He settled in London c.1790, wrote a Cabinetmaker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book (1794), and produced a range of Neoclassical designs which had a wide influence on contemporary taste in furniture. |
