| British politician and diarist, born in Liverpool, Merseyside, NW England, UK. He was a Whig MP for Thetford (1802), and later for Appleby, and became treasurer of ordnance (1830) and treasurer of Greenwich Hospital. He is chiefly remembered for the Creevey Papers, a journal important as a source of Georgian social history. |
