| Poet, born in West Wickham, Kent, SE England, UK. He studied at Oxford and the Middle Temple, and became a diplomat. A friend of Jonson and Donne, he wrote polished lyrics in the Cavalier tradition, and a masque Coelum britannicum (1634) which was performed at court. |
