| Playwright, born in Tyneside, NE England, UK. He worked as a teacher on Tyneside for 10 years before his first play, A Night to Make the Angels Weep, was produced in 1964. An amusing observer of life, his other works include Mighty Reservoy (1964), Zigger Zagger (1967), Good Lads at Heart (1971), and Strippers (1984). He has been much associated with the National Youth Theatre. |
