| Furniture maker, born in Denmark. After studying and working in Copenhagen, in 1948 he went to the USA, where he became a professor at Rhode Island School of Design. He is noted for the precise workmanship and sculptural elegance he brought to his handmade furniture. His fellow Danes have honoured him with the title of master craftsman. |
