| Painter, born in Vado, N Italy. Largely self-taught, he executed several frescoes and easel pieces, especially for the Farnese family. His brother Federigo Zuccari (c.1543–1609) painted portraits and frescoes, visited England, and became an influential art theorist. The two brothers were leaders of the Roman late Mannerist school. |
