| British chess player. She first represented England when aged 14, and her achievements include the national girls under-18 championship (1983), the British Ladies Championships (1986, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1998), and the Commonwealth Ladies Championships (1988–92). She gained the woman international master title in 1985, and is the first British-born woman to achieve the woman grandmaster title (1988). |
