| Outlaw, born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA. At the age of 15 he was imprisoned in Sundance gaol for horse stealing (1887–9), after which he began life as an outlaw. He teamed up with Butch Cassidy, and drifted throughout North and South America robbing banks, trains, and mines. His date and place of death is uncertain, but it is generally held that he was fatally shot by a cavalry unit in Bolivia. |
