| Poet, born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Having received a French upbringing in Belgium, the first poems she published were in French. Her early Dutch work was admired by W Kloos and L van Deyssel. She contributed to the magazine De Nieuwe Gids for many years, and published numerous collections of (mainly romantic) love poems and some prose. |
