| British fashion designer, the daughter of Sir Paul McCartney. At age 15 she began an apprenticeship working with Christian Lacroix on his first couture collection, and later spent several years training on Savile Row. She then studied at St Martin's College of Art and Design, London, graduating in 1995, and was appointed chief designer at the French couture house Chloé (1997). At the 2000 Vogue Fashion Awards in New York, her father presented her with the Designer of the Year Award. She showed the first collection under her own label in 2001. |
