| biography:
| Patron saint of Paris, born in Nanterre, NC France. After taking the veil, she acquired an extraordinary reputation for sanctity, increased by her assurance that Attila and his Huns would not touch Paris in 451, and by her expedition for the relief of the starving city during Childeric's Frankish invasion. In 460 she built a church over the tomb of St Denis, where she herself was buried. Feast day 3 January. |
