| Irish clergyman, and chief patron of Ulster. He was trained at Candida Casa in Galloway, Scotland, and later in his life founded the monastery at Moville in his homeland. He should not be confused with St Finnian of Clonard (c.552), who is said to have taught 3000 pupils at the monastery of Clonard. Feast day 10 September. |
