| Abbot, born in Ulster, Northern Ireland. He founded the great abbey of Bangor in Co Down (c.558). He is said to have lived on the Hebridean island of Tiree for a time, and accompanied St Columba on his journey to the N of Scotland. Feast day 10 May. |
