| British cookery writer and broadcaster. She studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and became a cookery correspondent for the Evening Standard (1986–93), The Sunday Express (1988–91), The Independent (1993–4), and The Sunday Times (1994–6). Her television programmes for Channel 4 include Grow Your Greens/Eat Your Greens (1993) and Sophie's Meat Course (1995), and among her books are Food for Friends, Sophie's Table, and Sophie Grigson's Feasts for a Fiver (1999). |
