| Fashion designer, born in Beauvais, N France. He attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and the Faculté de Droit in Paris. He worked with Jacques Fath (1912–54) in 1944, then with Robert Piguet (1901–53), Lucien Lelong (1889–1958), and Elsa Schiaparelli. He opened his own house in 1952, producing ready-to-wear clothes under his Nouvelle Boutique label. |
