He studied at Oxford, and was fellow of several Oxford Colleges before becoming principal of King's College, London (1920–7), and professor of political science and fellow of Peterhouse, Cambridge (1928–39). His works include Reflections on Government (1942) and Principles of Social and Political Theory (1951). |
