| Magazine proprietor and journalist, born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, N England, UK. He studied at Oxford, and was called to the bar. He succeeded to his father's newspaper interests, and became chairman of Hulton Press Ltd. He was the founder of Picture Post, a brilliant experiment in journalism which ceased in 1957. |
