| biography:
| Dancer and choreographer, born in London, UK. She studied art and then modern dance at the London Contemporary Dance School, and joined the company in 1969, later becoming joint director and resident choreographer. She started her own company in 1981, joined with Ian Spink and Richard Alston to found Second Stride, and launched her own company again in 1988. Her works include Relay (1972), Plainsong (1981), and Wyoming (1988). Recent works include The Art of Touch (1996), Bank (1997), and Eighty-Eight (1998). She has twice received the Laurence Olivier Award for outstanding achievement in dance (1993, 1996). |
