| Astronomer, born in Knudstrup, Sweden. In 1573 he discovered serious errors in the astronomical tables, and commenced work to rectify this by observing the stars and planets with unprecedented positional accuracy. He rejected the Copernican theory, but it fell to Kepler to show this model to be essentially correct, using Brahe's data. |
