| Graphic designer, born in New York City, New York, USA. Based in New York, he studied with Will Barnett at Cooper Union, New York (1948–51), was a co-founder (with Milton Glaser) of Push Pin Studios, New York (1954), and was publisher and editor of Push Pin Graphic magazine (1974–81) and Push Pin Press (1976–81). His eclectic approach to design gained him many honours, including election to the Art Directors Hall of Fame (1982). |
