| Greek philosopher and physician, active at Alexandria and Athens, who is the main source of information for the Sceptical school of philosophy. Little is known of his life, but his extant writings, Outlines of Pyrrhonism and Against the Dogmatists, had an enormous influence when they were rediscovered and published in Latin translations in the 1560s. |
