| biography:
| Motor racing driver, born in São Paulo, SE Brazil. He began racing karts when he was four, moved to Formula Three racing in Britain in 1981, and joined a Formula One team in 1984. In a career marked by an aggressive competitiveness and rivalry (especially with Alain Prost), he became World Formula One champion 1988, 1990, and 1991, and had 41 Grand Prix victories (second only to Alain Prost). He also built up a major business in São Paulo marketing a range of Senna products. He was killed during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. |
