| Playwright, born in Filettole, Tuscany, NW Italy. He wrote plays in a style reminiscent of d'Annunzio, characterized by psychological conflict and historical settings. The most successful internationally was La cena delle beffe (1909), set in Renaissance Florence. Others include L'amore dei tre re (1910), L'amorosa tragedia (1925), and Il ragno (1935). |
