| Poet, born in Champmarin, NW France. He served as a page at Henry IV's court and as a soldier, and became the biographer of his master, François de Malherbe. His works include Stances sur la retraite (c.1618) and Les Bergeries (1625), a pastoral drama. He paraphrased verses from the Psalms after his retirement to Touraine in 1639. |
