| biography:
| Furniture maker, born in Chino, California, USA. After working in architectural draughtsmanship, graphic arts, and industrial design, he became an independent woodworker in the 1940s. A master of joinery, sculptural organic forms, and functional simplicity, he produced some 100 pieces a year from his Alta Loma, CA workshop. Beginning in 1970, he taught summer schools at the Penland School for Crafts in North Carolina. |
