| Rabbi, born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. She studied at the University of Cincinnati (BA) and Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati (MA). In 1972 she was ordained a Reform rabbi, the first woman to be so ordained in the US. She was named rabbi of Temple Beth El in Elizabeth, NJ and went to the Monmouth Reform Temple, Tinton Falls, NJ (1981). Active in many civic and religious organizations, she wrote Judaism and the New Woman (1975). |
